Level 3 Teaching Assistant 

Part time Level 3 Teaching Assistant – 18.75 hours per week (Mon- Fri 8.30-12.15pm)

Grade 5 £19,945-£22,462 pro rata

Initially fixed term September 2021 to August 2022.

The post is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to work with young children who wishes to be supported by a hardworking and dedicated team who aim to ensure that all children are provided with the best possible start to their learning journey.

The Governors are seeking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic and flexible Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support teaching and learning in a KS1 classroom. Applicants must be highly motivated and committed to the highest standards of pupil achievement and upholding the creative and nurturing ethos of the school.

The role also includes the opportunity for optional additional hours within school, including lunch supervision, link club (before and after school and holidays) and intervention work with groups of children.

About the Candidate

The successful candidate will be expected to;

  • Hold relevant qualifications; at least NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Engage and support children in their learning through a variety of strategies, adjusting activities for the pupil they are working with to support leaning styles and individual needs.
  • Have a positive approach to managing behaviour and set high expectations for all.
  • Develop positive relationships with children, staff and parents to promote the progress and attainment of children.
  • Demonstrate creative flair to make learning memorable, enjoyable and purposeful.
  • Promote the inclusion and well-being of all children.
  • Reflect on practice and have the ability to embrace purposeful change.
