Maintenance Officer

Grade 5  £20,493 - £23,079 pro rata

Thelwall Infant School Governing Board wish to appoint a Site Maintenance Officer to join our hardworking, friendly and committed team.  The candidate should possess good communication and organisational skills, and be able to work as part of a team.  They should have a good knowledge of health and safety, be proactive and have good eye for detail.  Ideally, the candidate will have previous experience of working in a school.  A knowledge of basic DIY is essential.

The successful candidate will need a range of skills to ensure the efficient maintenance of our site. 

About the Role

The role is a permanent 27.5 hours per week split shift role (7am-9am and 2.45-6.15pm)

Briefly, the role will include opening/closing the school premises each day, cleaning duties, maintaining health and safety standards, checks and records, carrying out repairs and routine maintenance, decorating, liaising with contractors, and ordering supplies.  This post is a key holder position and therefore there is a requirement to attend some alarm call outs or emergency call outs. The role will also include supervision of cleaning staff.

Thelwall Infants is a 1.5 form entry school with a nursery and approximately 160 children on roll.
